Mifare Ultralight
This brand is rapidly taking over from the magnetic stripe tickets in the transport sector. The Ultralight has a 512-bit EEPROM read/write memory operating within the existing Mifare specifications. It has a write endurance of 2,000 cycles. Ultralight was developed after requests from transport operators and paper ticket manufacturers who wanted smart paper tickets that would allow fast integration into the existing schemes, be printed on standard existing equipment and fit the existing sized ticket terminals fitted with a simple contactless reader upgrade.
