We have already produced various designs in Translucent and Transparent
finishes. Translucent cards are able to be seen through the whole card
and utilise a special UV blocking core to allow the card to be read in
ATM's. We have even produced a translucent Gold Visa card which is the
first to be issued in the world. Security Plastics also produce
Transparent cards which utilise a small clear panel 11mm from the
bottom of the card and which allows ATM's to read the card.
Naturally if this type of card is not to be used in ATM's we can make
the transparent area larger. Visa and MasterCard Translucent and
Transparent finishes have to go through a rigorous approval process
which requires testing at an approved laboratory and testing in country
before approval to issue can be given.
